Martin Sanderson

Following twenty years working with children and young people across schools, communities and children's homes, I came to the unbreakable conclusion that it is relationships and cultures which matter and make a real difference for children, families and young people.

As a Qualified Teacher, Social Worker and Children's Homes Manager, I have been honoured to work and live alongside a great deal of families, children and young people. As well as an insatiable appetite for research and evidence based practice, I have learnt so much from those children and young people about what does and what definitely does not work!

I setup The Learning Culture to support practitioners, teams and organisations who want to create evidence based, trauma responsive spaces for children and young people.

I am passionate about meaningful relational risk assessment and the power of relationships to heal, support and create safer spaces for children and young people.
